The theory of “6 Degrees of Separation” contends that, because we are all linked by chains of an acquaintance, we are all just 6 introductions away from any other person on the planet.
Being mindful on who we surround ourselves with is critical because ‘quality’ will always trump ‘quantity’. In this vast growing world, having relationships with the right people can determine which direction your path will lead to.
I have always learned, to surround myself with people that have something that I want, or have achieved something that I have been pursuing. We all need mentors, and some of the most elite mentors are just a couple conversations away in our network.
The value of your knowledge and expertise will dictate what % of those degrees of separation can actually be involved in your life through projects or goals that need to be executed.
Starting from the bottom can be a great way to choose which way you want to go up. Execute conversations with people you can relate to in your field. Alongside establishing relationships with humility can lead to further involvement from the individuals that you want to grow from.
Shoot your shot, or else it will forever be a miss. The process depends on effort more than thought. Thoughts will lead to effort, effort can lead to results. Its not a bad thing to be selfish. Grow your mind, body and spirit. You cant help the next person that is seeking enlightenment until you cant become an example of it.
Soon enough, you will be an important part of someone else’s path from their ‘6 degrees of separation’.
